Employment is a subject related to every person. Everyone is looking for better and better job opportunities. The problem of unemployment or employment is an important issue in the world today. Lakhs of people are deprived of employment due to overpopulation and lack of opportunities.

In simple words, the meaning of employment is the source of income or the means of livelihood which we can easily understand in the form of a job. Without getting employment through private or government means, it is not possible to fulfil the basic needs of a person like bread, clothes, and a house.

There are many areas of employment in modern times. There are many sectors ranging from traditional enterprises to government services, multinational companies, private firm businesses, online businesses, small and big industries, wages, etc. Nowadays lakhs of families are getting benefited from employment opportunities in the online sector as well.

Today’s students can do part-time jobs till they complete their education. Or they can also open their own business through the skill training courses.

In the face of rapidly increasing population and inflation, it is no longer enough to have employment for one or two members of the family. Every educated person is now in need of employment. Even retired people and housewives are looking for some kind of work.

The Internet has also given livelihood opportunities to people sitting at home. Employment opportunities have also arisen in thousands of areas related to blogging, youtube, marketing, freelance writing, designing, and commerce. Office jobs are in great demand all the time for educated and professional people.

By the way, education in its real form was not given in any way as a power to generate employment or for this purpose. However, based on good education, a person would definitely get good employment. The modern education system also cannot be called employment-oriented education. Earning employment is not possible only on the basis of theoretical knowledge.

However, according to the demand of the time, now the doors of employment-oriented vocational education are opening rapidly. But overall our education today is limited only to giving the certificate of literacy. The question of livelihood has become a burning problem of today, especially the statistics of educated unemployment more terrifying. 

If we talk about the perspective of India, then the major reason for the lack of employment opportunities in the country is our rapidly growing population. There are many areas and opportunities for employment in the country, but due to the uncontrolled growing population, it is no longer possible to give jobs to every person. In such a situation, employment opportunities will be available to the needy only when we control the population growth.

Another major reason is the lack of skill training. There is a lack of skilled vocational training in our country so that the trained youth can get employment later. Employment will be limited from only basic education to government jobs. If vocational education is given to the youth of the country, then they themselves can generate job options.
